Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts to the Student Journal of Technology and Educational Research undergo a rigorous and ethical double-blind peer review process, to ensure impartiality and scholarly integrity at every stage.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

  • Manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief for compliance with submission guidelines, formatting, and completeness.
  • A plagiarism/similarity check and AI-generated content scan are conducted to ensure the originality of submitted manuscripts. The Similarity Index and AI-generated content must not exceed 20%.
  • Manuscripts failing to meet these thresholds will be returned to the author for revision or may be declined without peer review.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

  • Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to at least two qualified reviewers in the relevant field, with both authors and reviewers anonymized.
  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
    • Originality
    • Significant contribution to the field
    • Clarity of Presentation and Coherence
    • Depth of Research
    • Technical Quality

3. Reviewers' Recommendations

  • Reviewers may recommend one of the following:
    • Accept without revision/s
    • Accept with minor revision/s
    • Accept with moderate revision/s
    • Accept with major revision/s
    • Reject

4. Final Decision

  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on the reviewers' feedback.
  • Authors will be notified of the decision along with anonymized reviewer comments to guide revisions, if applicable.

5. Review Timeline

  • The average peer review timeline is 4–6 weeks from initial submission to decision, depending on reviewer availability and responsiveness.
