PANAGRUSING Submission Guidelines
PANAGRUSING: CED Creative Works Journal welcomes original creative works that demonstrate artistic excellence, intellectual depth, and relevance to literature, culture, education, and society. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and must not be under consideration by another publication.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts may be written in English, Filipino, or other languages.
- Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism.
- AI-generated content may only be used as a writing aid. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and authenticity of their work.
- The work must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal or publication.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material included in their submission.
Manuscript Preparation
- Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
- Double-space the manuscript with 1-inch margins on all sides.
- For visual arts and photography submissions, provide an appropriate caption.
Originality, AI Use, and Plagiarism
- All submitted works must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publication.
- Manuscripts are subject to plagiarism and AI-generated content screening before editorial review.
- The similarity index must not exceed 20% as determined by the journal's plagiarism detection software. Similarity resulting from properly cited references, quotations, and standard academic expressions may be excluded at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
- The AI-generated content score must not exceed 20% as determined by the journal's AI detection software.
- Submissions exceeding the journal's plagiarism or AI-generated content threshold may be returned for revision or rejected at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
Photography Submission
- Submit photographs in JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) format.
- Images must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- Minor adjustments such as exposure, contrast, color balance, cropping, and sharpening are permitted, provided they do not alter the authenticity of the image.
- Composite images, AI-generated images, or photographs containing digitally added or removed elements that substantially change the original scene are not accepted unless clearly identified as conceptual or digital art.
Each photography submission must include:
- Title of the photograph
- Brief artist's statement (100–200 words) explaining the concept, context, or inspiration
- Date and location where the photograph was taken (if applicable)
- Camera or device used (optional)
- Author's full name
- Institutional affiliation
- Email address
Artwork Submission
- Submit artworks in JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png), or TIFF (.tif) format.
- The artwork should be free from watermarks, borders, logos, or identifying marks.
- Color adjustments, cropping, and minor enhancements are acceptable provided they do not substantially alter the authenticity of the original artwork.
Each artwork submission must include:
- Title of the artwork
- Medium (e.g., photography, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, digital illustration, mixed media)
- Dimensions of the original work (if applicable)
- Year created
- Artist's statement (100–200 words)
- Author's full name
- Institutional affiliation
- Email address
Review Process
Creative works undergo editorial screening for originality, quality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's submission guidelines. Selected submissions may be subjected to peer review or editorial evaluation, depending on the nature of the work. Authors may be requested to revise their submissions before final acceptance.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright to their creative works while granting the journal the right of first publication. Published works are distributed under the journal's licensing policy as indicated on the journal website.
Submission
All creative works must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all required metadata and supplementary documents are completed during the submission process.
