About the Journal

PANAGRUSING: CED Creative Works Journal is the official literary and creative publication of the College of Education dedicated to the sprouting of ideas and the growing of creativity. Inspired by the Ilocano word panagrusing, which means "to sprout" or "to begin to grow," the journal symbolizes the emergence of fresh perspectives, original voices, and meaningful artistic expression.

The journal serves as a platform for students, faculty, alumni, and other contributors to share original poems, short stories, essays, creative nonfiction, visual arts, and other creative works. It fosters a culture of imagination, innovation, and self-expression while encouraging creators to explore ideas that inspire, challenge, and connect communities.

As a space where creativity takes root and flourishes, PANAGRUSING believes that every great work begins with a single idea. Through the sprouting of ideas and the growing of creativity, the journal celebrates the transformative power of the arts and literature in shaping minds, enriching culture, and inspiring generations.
